Upcoming VO Peeps Meetup with Special Guest David H. Lawrence XVII!

UPDATE: Hey Peeps!  Some great news!  Our esteemed guest speaker, Mr. David Lawrence XVII, was just cast in a new role for an upcoming film!  Congratulations, David!  Unfortunately for us, he will be out of town at a film shoot during our originally scheduled meetup date on June 11, so we have postponed our meetup for a new date of July 16, 2011 at 6:30 pm.  Hope you all can make it!

Woo hoo! Get ready to mark your calendars for July 16, 2011 at 6:30 pm for our next exciting and fun filled Orange County VO Peeps meetup! What's that? You don't live in Orange County? Can't make the meetup? No worries! We will be broadcasting LIVE from the party on our Ustream channel for those of you unable to attend.  You won't want to miss all the fun - we have some great surprises in store for you!

I am so excited to announce our very special guest speaker for this meetup - Voiceover and Film Talent extraordinaire, Mr. David H. Lawrence XVII!  I'd like to extend a special thank you to David in advance for taking the time out of his busy schedule to come and speak with us - we are so fortunate to have him!  Let's take a more in depth look at David's history and career:

After a 30 year career in radio, David H. Lawrence XVII has been seen on ABC's epic series LOST, CBS' legendary CSI and military thriller The Unit, NBC's spy comedy Chuck, Good Luck Charlie on The Disney Channel, and is best known for his creepy evil role as puppet master Eric Doyle on NBC's smash hit Heroes. His film career includes on-camera and VO work on The Changeling, The Hulk, Iron Man, Percy Jackson, Unstoppable, Too Big to Fail, A Special Relationship and countless others.

On radio, the Emmy-award winning and Clio-nominated Lawrence hosted The David Lawrence Show, Online Tonight, and anchored The Net Music Countdown, heard on over 300 radio stations and both XM and Sirius Satellite Radio. Lawrence is at the forefront of the podcasting revolution, having delivered daily RealAudio and MP3 "podcasts" via email from early 1994.

Lawrence helps actors create their own voiceover careers with his award winning VO2GoGo voice demo service, and was BACK STAGE's Readers' Choice for Favorite VO Teacher and Favorite VO Demo Producer for 2009 and 2010. He also teaches regular VO classes on Sundays in West Hollywood, and voicework workshops at various studios around Los Angeles.

Lawrence created the industry standard Rehearsal app for the iPhone, allowing actors and VO talent to have a digital rehearsal studio right on their iPhone or iPad.

Lawrence is represented theatrically by Karl Hofheinz at Synergy Talent, and commercially and for VO by Beverly Kline at Independent Artists.
